Scapegrace Single Malt Vanguard

A New Zealand single malt whisky made with New Zealand Laureate malt and matured in virgin French oak, with notes of poached pear, vanilla custard and Anzac biscuits.

Scapegrace Single Malt Vanguard is a New Zealand whisky crafted to reflect the character of its place of origin. Made using New Zealand Laureate malt, Vanguard forms part of Scapegrace's growing single malt whisky collection and showcases the distillery's grain-focused approach to whisky production.

The whisky is matured in 200-litre virgin French oak casks, allowing the fresh oak to contribute flavour, structure and complexity to the spirit. It is presented at natural colour and is non-chill filtered, preserving the character of the whisky through to bottling.

Vanguard's tasting profile combines poached pears with creamy vanilla custard and the familiar toasted, biscuity character of Anzac biscuits. At 40% ABV, it offers an approachable expression of New Zealand single malt whisky with fruit, sweetness and oak working together throughout the palate.
