Scapegrace Classic is a premium New Zealand gin built around a carefully selected combination of 12 botanicals. Classic juniper forms the backbone, while lemon and predominantly orange peel bring a distinctive citrus character to the spirit.
The botanical recipe combines Spanish juniper, lemon and orange peel with New Zealand coriander seed, cardamom, nutmeg, angelica root, liquorice root, orris root, cloves, cinnamon and cassia bark. A wheat-based neutral spirit and water sourced from New Zealand's Southern Alps provide the foundation.
On the palate, citrus and juniper are prominent alongside deeper spice, while floral hints of lavender and orange blossom emerge on the aroma. The finish is long and warming, with continuing juniper, orange and mixed floral notes. Scapegrace describes the overall character as classically citrus and exceptionally smooth.
