An award-winning craft distillery in Central Otago, Prophecy Distilling produces small-batch spirits with creativity, care and a mystical aesthetic.
Prophecy Distilling began as a humble idea among a group of friends in Central Otago’s back blocks, driven by a passion for creating handcrafted spirits from simple beginnings. Guided by the iconic Prophet’s Rock, the team forages local ingredients and pairs them with pristine water sources to produce unique small‑batch spirits that reflect the region’s character.
The distillery specialises in gin and vodka, using locally foraged botanicals such as speargrass root, horopito and other native flavours to create vibrant and distinctive spirits. Prophecy’s products are crafted entirely in‑house, often showcasing the rugged Central Otago landscape in every bottle.
Despite being a young distillery, Prophecy has already earned recognition at national awards, including medals for its Finders Gin and Omeo Vodka, and being named a promising emerging producer in the New Zealand spirits scene
