A limited 21-year-old New Zealand blended whisky with dried yellow fruit, creamy cereal, caramel, honey and a long, warming finish.
Wilson’s Matured Blend 21 Year Old comes from the final casks of the original Wilson’s Whisky, a longstanding name in New Zealand’s distilling history.
Distilled at Dunedin’s historic Willowbank Distillery, the whisky was matured for 21 years in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being bottled in Oamaru. The blend is made with 70% malted barley and 30% unmalted barley.
Dried yellow fruit, creamy cereal, caramel and honey lead the aroma. The palate combines rich malted barley with deep golden sweetness, followed by a long, smooth finish of lingering fruit and gentle warmth.
This limited release celebrates the return of whisky distilling to Dunedin while recognising Richard Boraman, the pioneering food scientist who developed Wilson’s Whisky.
