A bold double-cask New Zealand single malt with sweet cherry, orange zest, rich toffee, cinnamon and a long, spicy finish.
Oamaruvian Revolution Single Malt is a full-bodied New Zealand whisky distilled in Dunedin and matured beside the sea in Oamaru.
The whisky spent three years ageing in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being transferred to New Zealand Pinot Noir barrels for a further 18 months. This four-and-a-half-year double-cask maturation has created a natural dark mahogany colour and added layers of fruit, sweetness and warm spice.
Aromas of cherry, caramelised sugar, cinnamon and fresh tobacco are joined by grain, vanilla and orange zest. The rounded palate brings together sweet cherry, citrus and rich toffee, balanced by lightly salty tobacco notes. Toffee, cinnamon and mild rooibos linger through the long, spicy finish.
